The Great Settlement of Moscow. The Authentic History of Kitay-gorod

 In his book, architectural historian Alexander Mozhayev tells us what Kitay-gorod was like before it survived all the numerous rebuildings and redevelopments. The first part of this study is devoted to the general view of Kitay-gorod ensemble and the development of the capital's civil architecture. In the second part, readers will have the opportunity to explore in details buildings in good condition as well as long-lost buildings relying on archival materials.
