On Mammoths and Their Companions: The Palaeoecology of Mammoth Fauna

The book briefly outlines the history of the study of mammoths and representatives of the modern fauna that lived in Northern Eurasia at the end of the Quaternary. The structure, appearance, way of life and habitat of mammoths, woolly rhinoceroses, bison, giant deer, “cave” predators and other animals are described here. Particular attention is paid to the position of Palaeolithic man in the structure of the mammoth fauna and his relationship with large mammals.
