From 3+5 to Z: The Language of a War

 “The Language of a War” by Segrey Girin is a new philologist’s notebook, as Victor Klemperer named his research on the language of the Third Reich. Unlike Klemperer who spent the entire war in Germany, Sergei Girin has not been to Russia since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Yet, modern technologies, talks to relatives, advice by his colleagues and friends, including those who continue to live in Russia, let Girin take a look from the side at the transformation of his native language and more prominently see a catastrophe that we as a society are going through.
Sergei Girin is a linguist, author, PR and GR expert. Currently, he lives and works in Berlin.
